This is an excellent Belmont card, with four graded stakes races making up for lost time during the early days of the pandemic. However, heavy rain is in the forecast all day in Elmont, and I’ve had to create contingencies in certain turf races that may get rained off. This shouldn’t affect the two turf stakes though, which include some of the best horses in the country.

This is an uneventful day of racing at Belmont, but the feature may just make the whole day worthwhile.

Thursdays are typically a slow day at Belmont. However, there’s no such thing as a bad day at the track, and some wide open races followed by an exciting feature may attract bettors and sportsmen alike.
Trip Notes: Breaking Down the 2020 Belmont Stakes
Watching a race live is often a one-sided activity. In this year’s Belmont Stakes, it’s very likely that spectators are watching two horses: Tiz the Law and the runner they picked to beat him. However, as the Triple Crown progresses, it’s important to get to know all of these runners and how their trip in the Belmont Stakes affected their performance.

This is a slow day, but it would be an insurmountable task to top Belmont Stakes Day yesterday. A weekend recap will be coming in the next few days, but in short, Saturday’s card lived up to every expectation a racing fan could have. For those closely following the Moquins’ quest as 0.1% owners of Power Up Paynter, I can say it was an amazing feeling to own a part of a winner on such a big day of racing. The reaction in my household to his statebred allowance win was more frenzied and raucous than any other race on that stacked card. It was probably the most fun I’ve ever had at the races.

Today is like Christmas for every New York handicapper. It’s Belmont Stakes Day, which means a stacked card featuring some of the best talent in the country. Let’s jump right into it.
Belmont Analysis: Friday, June 19, 2020
Though this card will soon be forgotten in days to come, it’s giving us 10 races to play on a Friday, and that’s never a bad thing. I find several of the turf races here particularly interesting, and while I didn’t locate any locks, there are some interesting entries to discuss. Even I can admit that today’s handicapping is in preparation for Belmont Stakes Day tomorrow, but maybe I can play with their money going in if I can hit with a few today.
